Precision, at the right moment.

Ckairos builds the control software, process simulators and automations that keep operations on time, and act when it matters.

What we do

Four kinds of work, one standard of timing

Every system we deliver keeps exact time. Each one is also built to recognise the moment that needs a decision.

  1. Industrial automation

PLC programs and control software for machines and process lines. We are also building the Ckairos Soft PLC: IEC 61131-3 ladder logic on standard PCs and Linux.

  2. Process simulators

Dynamic models that behave like your plant. Test control logic before commissioning, train operators without risk, and try a change before you make it.

    • Virtual commissioning
    • Operator training
    • What-if studies
  3. Process automation

Scheduled jobs, integrations between the systems you already run, and event-driven workflows, with monitoring that shows what ran, when, and what did not.

  4. AI-assisted workflows

Automations that read documents, sort requests and draft reports, with a person approving the steps that matter.

The name

Two kinds of time

Ckairos joins the two Greek words for time. Chronos is time that is counted. Kairos is the moment that counts.

Χρόνος

Chronos

Sequential time. The tick of the clock, the schedule, the deadline. It is measurable and it never stops.

Gives us Precision, reliability, systems that run exactly as specified.

Καιρός

Kairos

Opportune time. The right moment to act, which comes once and has to be recognised as it arrives.

Gives us Judgment, quality, timing that creates opportunity.

In the 4th century BC the sculptor Lysippos cast Kairos in bronze: young, on winged feet, a long lock of hair over his face and the back of his head bald. You can seize him as he comes toward you. Once he has passed, there is nothing to hold.

The Unix scheduler cron takes its name from Chronos, and nearly every automation still runs on it. Ckairos is cron with the missing half added: the system knows the time, and it also knows when the time is right.

How we work

Four rules, taken from the name

  1. Keep perfect time.

Reliability is the floor. Systems run when they say they will.

  2. Know the moment.

Automate the decision about when, not only the task.

  3. Hold the balance.

Like the scales on the razor in the Kairos statue: speed and care, both at once.

  4. Grasp the forelock.

Help clients act while the opportunity is still in front of them.
